Pekan Rabu, or "Wednesday Market" used to be a traditional market for malay products, trading on wednesday only. Today, with a building of their own, the market is open everyday. This is where you can shop for local handicrafts, kitchen utensils, food, clothing and others. A very popular destination for locals and tourists alike, especially for the local sweet treats such as dodol and karas.
The building is located in the downtown of Alor Setar.
